Filters IP and non-IP traffic.
Mode

User-defined Rules
Supports a powerful traffic filtering system using user-defined
processing rules. Users can define rules appropriate to their

Network Traffic Monitor
Shows current data traffic on your system, including information
showing opened programs and the ports (doorways) they are using
to communicate.
Port Monitoring
All communication between your system and the outside world
takes place through ports. Ports at the sender and receiver
ends enable successful communication. A port is 'virtual slot'
in your TCP and UDP stack that is used to map a connection between
two hosts, and also between the TCP/UDP layer and the actual
applications running on the hosts. Unmonitored ports are convenient
doorways for intruders to sneak into your system. eConceal prevents
scanning of ports and alerts you to any attempts by unauthorized
persons (e.g. hackers) to do the same.
eConceal allows the user to specify Source and Destination ports,
and Source and Destination IP address. This allows you to enforce
communication on specified ports, and specified systems. Such
access control virtually narrows intrusion possibilities.
Stealth Mode
Surf the Internet invisibly, without letting other online
users see you. When online, your computer constantly receives
and responds to information requests from other computers. In
stealth mode your computer will not respond to the flow of queries
unless you opt to override it.
Multiple Network Adapter Support
Supports configuration for multiple network adapters.
Comprehensive Logs
Stores log information detailing programs involved in outgoing/incoming
traffic, communication protocols used, Source and Destination
IP addresses, direction of traffic, and action taken depending
on rules in force. In addition, it maintains an Event Log detailing
user events - e.g. changing security level, loading rules, firewall
shutdown etc.
Password-protection
Ensures security by password protecting access to the Firewall
to prevent unauthorized access to its settings.
Easy Installation and Configuration
eConceal is easy to install and configure. It does not affect
Windows system files and does not require any additional libraries
(DLLs).
