TCP
Connections is a network monitoring tool that examines TCP/IP activity on
Windows computers. It lists all TCP and UDP endpoints on a PC, including the remote
address (along with the Domain Name of the remote address) and state of TCP connections.
With TCP Connections, users can determine the processes connected to various ports
on the PC and the remote network addresses accessed by dubious applications.
Most
Backdoors, Bots and Trojans connect to remote attackers via various ports. With
TCP Connections, you can keep a tab on the activities of such malware in the computers. The
application has two tabs; Active Connections and Established Connections.
In Active Connections tab all connections that are active at any given
point of time are displayed. In Established Connections, only the connections
that are established are displayed. The Process,
Protocol, Local Address, Remote Address and Status of each connection
are displayed. The application gives details on the
process associated with each TCP/IP address and port. The process name, the task
associated with the process and the name of its developers are displayed.
